Definitely one of the most enjoyable concerts I’ve EVER been to!
At last, an orchestra and chorus performing music from the movies. And what a wonderful orchestra it is too! I’m hoping this is the first of many more productions I’ll have the pleasure of singing with the IFOP & Chorus. Karen Ní Bhróin is a superb choral master with a delightful personality that brings out the best in singers. For fans of movie music that failed to get to the concert, you missed a wonderful evening of great music played to a very high standard.
I had the pleasure of working with Paul as part of the Irish Film & Pops Orchestra & Chorus course which he organised, managed and ran over an intensive, weekend recently bringing together over 100 participants, some of whom flew in from abroad to take part.
The event was excellently organised and Paul had put together a great faculty including Conductor Brendan Breslin, Choral Director Karen Ni Brhian and Sectional Master Classes given by members of our National Orchestras – resulting in a concert of music from Star Wars, Star Trek, Back To The Future and Indiana Jones – he even managed to get Darth Vader, Chewbacca, BB8 and a host of Star Wars characters to attend what was a hugely enjoyable concert for musicians and audience alike.
